What kind of products does Solanuz produce?

Solanuz produces fast frozen French fries and potato flakes (semi-ready mashed potato). We produce French fries of different forms and sizes (standard fries (10×10, 7×7), crinkle fries (10×10, 7×7), cubes, wedges, pommes slices) as well as potato flakes in large and small fractions.


What potato varieties do you use for your products?

It took us several years until we developed ideal one for our Solanuz French fries – “Fontane” is a variety with minimal sugar rate. For the potato flakes we use potato varieties of “Fontane”, “Panamera”, “Lucinda”, “Rudolf”.


How natural are your products? Are there any gene modifiers (GMO)?

No, Solanuz products have neither GMOs nor food additives. All products are made using high quality potato and natural vegetable oil.


Where the potato used for your products is grown?

For our products we use potato grown in our own fields in Zangiota and Bostonlik districts of Tashkent region and in Sariosiyo district of Surxandarya region.


How Solanuz French fries is made?

Selected fresh potatoes undergo a washing procedure, after which they get to steam cleaning. After that, the potato peel is removed, peeled potatoes are cut into even pieces and blanched. The potatoes are then fried in 100% vegetable refined oil, degreased and frozen by shock freezing. Thus, the whole cooking process we have carried out for you where you just have to bring it a little to readiness, and it will be soft inside, and with a Golden crust on the outside.


How Solanuz potato flakes are made?

In the preparation of potato flakes, a selection of fresh potatoes also undergo the procedure of washing after which they get to steam cleaning and cleansing the skin after. Then the potatoes are cut into slices, blanched, cooled and steamed. Then they are dried at 130-150 degrees, get rid of moisture and crushed into small or large fractions.


How many calories are there in one Solanuz French fries portion?

There are around 280 calories in 100 g of a product that is around 11% of an adult’s daily value. 100 g of one French fries portion contains: proteins – 4.0 g, fat – 15 g and carbohydrates – 30 g.


How to prepare fast prepared French fries at home?

French fries can be cooked both in a fryer and in a frying pan, as well as in the oven. When cooking in a fryer, vegetable oil should be heated up to 180 °C. Frozen potatoes are fried for 2-3 minutes until the light golden colour. Let the oil drain after cooking. Add salt and spices to taste.

If you want to cook in a pan, you need to heat a small amount of oil. Put the frozen potatoes in one layer. Fry over medium heat, stirring regularly for about 10-12 minutes until light golden brown colour. Add salt and spices to taste.

If you want to bake potatoes in the oven, preheat the oven to 200 °C. Put the frozen potatoes on a baking sheet in one layer. Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes until light Golden brown colour. Add salt and spices to taste.


How to prepare potato flakes?

Add 1 part of potato flakes (7:1) in hot water with a temperature of 75°C in an amount of 7 parts by weight, stir quickly, close the lid and after 3-4 minutes the product is ready for use. You can add salt, milk, butter and other ingredients to taste.


Where else can potato flakes be used in catering and production?

Potato flakes can be used not only as a side dish (as mashed potatoes), but also as a filling in pies, dumplings, samsa and pancakes, as well as for breading cutlets. Potato flakes can also be applicable in bakeries, as well as useful for manufacturers of sausages and chips in production purposes.
